The success of the Bulgarian community in Hungary should serve as an example for our compatriots abroad. Nowadays Bulgaria and Hungary are not only strategic partners but also friends and to some great extent this is due to you and your ancestors. This is what President Rosen Plevneliev said at a meeting with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Hungary held in Budapest on Tuesday.

Bulgaria and Hungary will seek a new dynamics in their bilateral commercial and economic cooperation and in the implementation of the projects which strengthen the energy security of the European countries. This is what Presidents Rosen Plevneliev and Janos Ader said after their meeting held at the Sandor Palace in Budapest. The talks between the two heads of state marked the beginning of the Bulgarian President’s official visit to Hungary.

The caretaker government, with its expert potential and positions, has gained the trust of the European institutions, President Rosen Plevneliev told journalists in Brussels before the summit of the European Council, which will be held this evening in the Belgian capital. The head of state emphasized once again that in the transition period in the run-up to the early general election the president’s office will continue to be the institution that guarantees stability and continuity in Bulgaria’s governance.
