The participants in the Consultative Council for National Security at the President’s Office discussed the current political situation in the country and the measures the political parties represented in the National Assembly should take to meet public expectations. At the beginning of the meeting and with regard to disobeying the rules governing the Consultative Council for National Security, the Head of State was not given the opportunity to make his traditional opening speech.

Bulgaria and Romania will work for the construction of a third bridge over the Danube river which will connect Silistra with the Romanian town of Calarsi. This is what Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev and his Romanian counterpart Trayan Basescu agreed on at the meeting held during the 18th summit of the Heads of State of the Central and East European countries that it taking place in Slovakia’s capital Bratislava.
