Historically Europe is entering a new phase – pre and post Crimea and the consequences from Russia’s violation of the international legal norms will be tangible in a long-term perspective. This is what President Rosen Plevneliev said at a news conference given for German media in Berlin titled “Southeast Europe and Bulgaria in the context of the crisis in Crimea.”

The Head of State Rosen Plevneliev and the President of Germany Joachim Gauck debated the situation in Ukraine and the issues on the European agenda in the context of the elections for European Parliament. The meeting between the two held in the Bellevue palace in Berlin marked the beginning of President Plevneliev’s two-day visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
